Involvement in FCCLA’s Competitive Events programs offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life necessary in families, communities, and workplaces. Members can demonstrate Family and Consumer Sciences skills, career skills, and interpersonal skills through competitive events.
State Competitive Events
State Competitive Events provide opportunities for members to demonstrate college and career-ready skills in Family and Consumer Sciences and related occupations. Colorado is pleased to offer the following state level events:
STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation.
